Weekly Birding Tours

Weekly Birding Tours are offered year-round regardless of the weather. These 3-4-hour tours are usually offered midweek. Destinations vary with migration patterns and seasonal bird distribution but are mostly local to Mount Desert Island. We bring high quality binoculars and spotting scopes to share. These tours have become something of a locals’ favorite. 

We will see what we can find, contributing our observations to eBird, the world’s largest citizen-science project. And, of course, we will enjoy good camaraderie while working toward our MDI Bird Club "100" patch (identify 100 species on our tours and receive a 2" embroidered patch).
