Expeditions
We offer a variety of multi-day tour throughout the year. We take care of the itinerary and all of the logistics (except airfare), you enjoy a great adventure.
Mount Desert Rock
Imagine the challenges of being a lighthouse keeper on a 3-acre rocky island 25 miles off the coast of Maine. It’s a 2-hour boat ride from Bar Harbor. Every single nail, shingle, Band-Aid, and jug of water has to be delivered via support boat. No meals are cooked unless the menu has been planned, comestibles purchased, and everything packaged in waterproof containers for transport from the mainland. Your only company are the hundreds of omni-present gulls (Herring, Great Black-backed, Lesser Black-backed, Glaucous, and Iceland) dozens of Gray and Harbor Seals that haul out every low tide and multitudes of migrating songbirds and seabirds. You no longer need to imagine this. Now YOU can join us on an offshore birding and nature adventure! End of September 2022
Birds of Aroostook County
“The County,” as it is known locally, is in northernmost Maine. It might look like a blank spot on some maps, but there are some GREAT birds. Spring 2022
Birds of Downeast Maine and New Brunswick
This is where boreal birds meet seabirds. On this 2-day trip, we will seek out the birds of the border region. Spring 2022
