Time has a way of sneaking by and before we know it, months have passed us by. At least, that has been the case for us. Well, now we am ready to resume the Weekly Birding Tours. And to top it off, Wednesday looks to be a gorgeous day: sunny with a high of 44 F. Raptors are migrating and there are still a few Snowy Owls kicking around, so let’s walk up the Cadillac Mountain Road.
This is a longer walk than many people realize—it will be about 9 miles round-trip—but easy as it is all road (with the Park Loop Road still closed, that means no cars!). The road is clear of snow, so easy walking. We would recommend a pack with snacks and water.
WHAT: Weekly Birding Tour
WHEN: 8:00 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. (it may run as late as 2:00, depending on our pace), Wednesday, 30 March
WHERE: Details upon RSVP
COST: $45
Please RSVP by calling (207/266-9461), emailing (info@TheNaturalHistoryCenter.com), or messaging (www.facebook.com/TheNaturalHistoryCenter) to sign up (you can do so up to the night before the schedule date).
Weather permitting, mark your calendars reserving Wednesday mornings for our Weekly Birding Tours. A Barnacle Goose has overwintered in Camden, so next week, if it is still around, we may go that way.
As always, we are also available for private tours, too.
