Migration is gaining speed. During the past week, we have seen a number of FOYs (First Of Years): Pine Warbler, Great Blue Heron, Double-crested Cormorant, Eastern Phoebe, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Tree Swallow, Eastern Towhee, Belted Kingfisher, Eastern Bluebird, Hermit Thrush, Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, and Winter Wren. And migration will only be picking up over the coming month! With Wednesday forecast to be sunny with a high near 52 F and light northerly winds, it seems time to return to one of our favorite haunts: Sieur de Monts Spring.
